The program can give people who have suffered torture a certificate that certifies that they have been victims of torture.
The certificate could be used to support claims for asylum.
For the certification, victims of torture meet with a social worker, doctor, psychologist and lawyer.
This will take place over four appointments. The entire process should last approximately one month.
The program can make referrals to other organizations for legal, medical or other support.
You can request assistance via METAdrasi's team or KEELPNO at Vial.
They will inform METAdrasi's Certification of Victims of Torture Department, who will contact you if there is availability for an appointment.
The Certification team is not based on Chios, but visits from time to time. The appointments will take place when the team is visiting.
