The Banana House is an education center for young adults (ages 18 – 23 years).
Courses and activities include:
- English and Greek language classes
- German language classes
- Arts and crafts, science, building and informational sessions from other NGOs operative on the island
If registered, participants can access our community centre, showers, activities and talks, and will get a meal when attending to language lessons.
Working Hours
The Banana House is open for classes Monday through Friday in the morning (10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) and in the evening (3:00 to 7:00 p.m.) Banana House schedule may vary.
Additional Information
Contact Action for Education if you would like to volunteer at the Banana House. Volunteer roles include chefs, focal points/translators, outdoor and shower managers, and/or course teachers.
Volunteers over age 23 can also enroll in a course.
