Social Hackers Academy (SHA) is a non-profit coding school, and we’re on a mission to democratize access to quality tech education and the labor market to ALL. It’s no surprise that we got the award of “Most innovative NGO” in 2020.
We are offering scholarships to people who belong to the following underrepresented groups:
- Refugees
- Migrants
- Unemployed
- NEET (Not in Education Employment or Training)
Our holistic approach towards acquiring hard skills that leads to employment is what makes us different. Our main course is called “Front End Web Development,” and we offer it on a Full-time and Part-time basis.
For you to find a job, we have a career track that consists of 4 courses:
- Pre-Course. Everyone has to go through this to become our student.
- Front End Web Development Course. It lasts six months + 1 month for the final project.
- Soft skills course. It lasts seven weeks, and you participate in it during the main course.
- “How to get a dev job” course. It is an 8-week course that supports the student with all aspects of getting a job.
Our school is unique because we go above and beyond to make sure that our students graduate and get a job.
To achieve so, we offer the following support:
- Live classes twice per week
- Students are divided into groups, and they do pair-programming
- Weekly mentoring session
- Access to Online Technical Assistance
- Innovative pedagogical approach
All this is sponsored by donors and we offer fully funded scholarships to the vulnerable groups mentioned above.
