Athens Solidarity Center offers high quality services to individuals at risk of social exclusion and/or marginalization. Services provided include:
Social: Social protection services are provided, promotion and preservation of inalienable human rights, safe living, through a series of actions in cooperation with other bodies.
Psychological: Provides Individual Counseling and Psychotherapy, Empowerment, Integration and Personal Development Groups
Legal: group and individual legal advice, mediation, legal representation
Employability: Job counseling services with the support of specialized counselors, group workshops, seminars and networking activities aiming to empower the individual to make more informed decisions.
Accountancy service: provides advice and guidance on issuing tax and social security numbers, facilitates access to social benefits along with accounting and tax support and also counselling and preparation of applications for all social benefits received.
Child Friendly Space: (via the “Network for the Rights of the Child”) Individual and group pedagogical / creative programs for children, Socialization and learning support groups, Entertainment events, Greek and English lessons for parents, Supportive counseling for parents and children 3 up to 12 years old, Lending library, Excursions and cultural visits, Educational programs of itinerary library.
Asylum service: Since September 2015, the Asylum Service operates within the premises of the Solidarity Center, with pre-arranged appointments from the headquarters of the Asylum Service. Priority is given to vulnerable groups, with particular emphasis on serving and supporting unaccompanied minors, victims of abuse, single-parent families.
