Techfugees Inclusion offers the #TF4Women Fellowship Program, a free 6-month programme for refugee and asylum seeking women that reside allover Greece. It will provide educational and practical knowledge on new technologies, in parallel to one-on-one mentoring and support in job placement in the tech sector. Its main purpose is the professional inclusion of women in the technology industry.
Women that are eligible to apply are:
- Refugee or asylum seekers (the relevant legal document will be requested)
- Able to write and communicate in English in a comfortable way (if they know how to talk in Greek, is a plus, but not required!)
- 18 years old and older
- Able to use the computer and is basic software programs (e.g. E-mail/Google Drive)
- Interested in developing their digital skills and work in the Technology Sector
* No specific background in Technology is needed, but it is a plus!
Women that will be selected to participate in the program should:
- Study online courses for 2 hours/day & 15 hours/week and complete weekly assignments
- Participate in online training & mentoring sessions from 6-8pm on Tuesdays
- Participate in the Language Courses we will organize during the 6-months
- Participate in the activities with tech companies, to find a job in the job market
- Be able to participate in the whole duration of the program (November 2021 - April 2022)
Women that will participate in the program, will:
- Discover the world of technology & its various jobs;
- Develop their Technical & Digital skills;
- Develop their job-search and understanding over the IT Job-market in Greece;
- Interact with employees in the tech sector;
- Practice their English and/or Greek!
To the women that will be selected to participate, we will offer:
- Baby-sitting services (for the mothers)
- Psychosocial Support
- Computer & Internet to be able to participate in the program
